Topic: sync problem mac rme 400

Hi I have just bought a used fireface 400. i am using a macbook pro. i downloaded the drivers/firmware but I Cant get it to sync. Using itunes I get occasional 'stutters'. In logic i get the smae thing. a message comes up saying 'conflicting sample rate' this is a different value each time and niether the rme400 or logic are set to it Both are set to 44.1. any ideas?

Here is some more info...... Im hooking it up to my macbook pro OSX 10.6.8. I cant quite remember the date of this computer but I remember I got it (new) not long after the new shape came out. I have downloaded the latest drivers and firmware.

Here’s what’s happening:

In logic pro, i tunes and any other sound source I hear occasional short bursts of sound and that’s it! I am just listening through the headphones at the moment as my monitors are all packed away for a house move. In logic I get an error message saying "synchronisation error sample rate 431230 (this number varies) detected......"

The fireface is set to 44.1 (as is logic), Master, word clock
