Topic: Roland TD20 Midi connection

Hello guys complete newbie here so be gentle!

Just need to some advice on connecting my Roland TD20 to my Macbook Pro (2012) using the RME Babyface.

My aim initially is to sample Steven Slate drums which I have currently set up in Pro Tools which I have had for only a couple of days (complete novice). I've managed to get the SSD player in the DAW and I can trigger the sounds using the Mac and I can hear them through the headphone output of the babyface.

I've then got midi out from the Roland into midi in on the babyface. The babyface is showing in the protools set up but I'm unable to trigger any of the sounds??

Please help it's driving me crazy!!

Thanks in advance.

Re: Roland TD20 Midi connection

Hi Super,

Did you set up the TD20 as a MIDI controller in the MAc application called AudioMIDI.app located in the Applications>Utilities Folder?
