Topic: Multiface II slave to 3rd party converters possible??

Hello,

I plan to purchase third party A/D converters that can only run as master clock.  There is SPDIF, ADAT, and world clock OUT.

Can the Multiface II act as slave?

If not, can each be clocked internally?

Can the Multiface II act as slave?

Yes. The Multiface can sync to a master clock. Just choose the external clock source in the setup dialog.

If not, can each be clocked internally?

Every digital connection needs a word clock master and a slave. Two unsynced devices will sooner or later result in audible clock problems.
