Topic: FF 800, Mountain Lion & Logic 9 freezing issues after launching

Any suggestions?

FF 800 has the latest drivers firmware etc.
Logic The latest updates
Mountain Lion the latest updates

Upon launching logic pro 9 in mountain lion (as a lion update before that and snow leopard before that all working fine)
Logic freezes, seems to happen every time via prefs audio and then FF 800 in audio drivers.
I know this, as turning off the FF 800 and launching again, using built in audio, fixes the freezing issue.
Turning back on the FF 800 and then changing drivers to FF 800 causes the freezing yet again and crashes logic!  Ahhh

Probably something was corrupted during the OS upgrade. Try a clean install of the latest driver.

1) Switch off the unit
2) Trash the files listed here: http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=9233
3) Restart the Mac
4) Empty Trash
5) Repair disk permissions for Macintosh HD (/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility)
6) Install current driver

Typically, this solves any problems caused by "in place" operating system upgrades, Time Machine restoration or User account migration.

Just a small remark about user account migration, I have tried this twice (installing 10.7 and 10.8 onto a new partition instead of over the old version) and then migrating the account, and noticed none of the problems that have been observed here with installation "in place".

Thank you both for your swift solution suggestions.
Bizarrely, before implementing them, all is working as should again?
