Topic: General Midi Control / Note messages

hi,

we are controlling the Fireface Mixer with stamdard midi controllers.
for the controllers no problems.

but for the note messages this did not work when DISABLING the "Mackie Control Options / Enable Protocol Support" button.

As said, we have no mackie control, just normal midi messages.

These are part of the Mackie protocol.

Hello,
the answer is fast, BUT:

In chapter 30.5 of the manual, is explained how to use Notes and Control Change, WHEN NOT USING MACKIE CONTROL.

Control Change do indeed control faders, but it is not mentionned at all that notes will work only in Mackie Control Mode.

It is disappointing that RME doesn't support these simple "hardware" MIDI messages:
- mute, solo, pan for each channel, the same way faders are controlled
- control room commands mentionned in chapter 30.5
