Topic: RME Babyface noise problem (Spdif connection)

Hey,

I bought a new RME Babyface some days ago and it kicks ass.
The only problem is that when I try to connect my Vox Tonelab via Spdif to the Babyface, there's a short noise ("tscht") every 10-20 seconds. It's not only while recording it's all the time.
I recorded a riff where you could here the noise. ( http://soundcloud.com/bastiants/noise ) Warning: no good playing ! I never used the digital spdif connection, so I'm not 100% sure that everything is connected correctly or that the settings(drivers and programs f.e. cubase) are correct. I use Win 7 and all drivers are updated.

Hope someone can help me out.

I assume you are running out of the tonelab and then into the babyface?

If so you need to make sure that the babyface is set to sync to the spdif input. Also that the sample rate you are using in your recording program is the same as the babyface.
