Topic: Problem with Multiface I and HSDP PCI card rev 1.8 on Win7 x64

Hello,
I have computer with Windows 7 64 bit, and for a long time I was using Multiface I interface with PCI  HSDP card rev 1.4. It was working very good except of occasional problem with boot initialisation (as described here: http://www.rme-audio.de/old/english/faq/hdsp_pci.htm).

To avoid initialisation problems i decided to upgrade PCI card and have bought used HSDP PCI card rev 1.8 on ebay. I have installed newest driver 3.29 (tried also 3.085 from 08/05/2010) and  updated succesfully flash to revision 55.
Unfortunatelly after installation soundcard is not working.

When I run Hammerfall DSP Settings first tab shows RPM(1) or Digiface(1) (not multiface) and I/O Box state change periodically from connected to disconnected.
HDSP Mixer window also act oddly - windows size and number of input/output channels is changing all the time.
Error led on multiface is not lit.

I have try to connect external power supply to multiface - nothing changed.

Do you have any sugestion if it is possible to make my new configuration working ?
Is there any place where I can download older drivers version ?

I'm sure that Multiface interface is operational.
The previous owner states in the item description, that card is fully operational.

I would be grateful for any suggestions/help.

PS. when I switched back to the older rev1.4 card everything works fine. I'm worried that the second card may be broken?

Przemek

Re: Problem with Multiface I and HSDP PCI card rev 1.8 on Win7 x64

Hello,
today I have tried to install problematic soundcard on computer with clean Windows XP system.
Unfortunately card behaves badly, exactly the same way as described in the previous post.

I have tried three versions of drivers: 2.94, 3.085, 3.29

Is it possible thet newer HDSP card (rev 1.8) is incompatible with older MK 1 Multiface ?
