Hi,

I have recently bought a USB Midi keyboard that turns off intermittently.

This could be due to a number of reasons.

1. A faulty unit or USB cable
2. Not enough BUS power from my Mac (but everything else works fine)

Can I power the Babyface using an external power supply to see if the Midi device or my computer is to blame?

I am hoping that more power will be supplied to the other USB port if I have external power to the Babyface.

Will external power, 6 - 12V adaptor, work in principle to give my other USB device more power (it unfortunately has no external DC in socket)?

On a good note, my kernel panics are fixed with the new update and I am in full working order again, thanks for all the hard work.
