Topic: Babyface MIDI in cable noise

Hi everyone!
I got a problem with MIDI. When I plug in MIDI in cable I get a noise. To tell you more I got a different kind of noise depending upon wich keyboard I connect to Babyface.  When I plug in my Yamaha P95 I get constant noise like 50hz or something like that. Of course it's getting louder as I adjust a gain on Babyface. I just can't use microphone when MIDI is plugged!
On Kurzweil PC3LE8 I get clicking noise with a constant clicking and clicking when I press any key on Kurz. If I put out MIDI cable the audio inputs work perfect. MIDI cables are fine - I just bought new two 1 meter cables. The same thing... Can anybody help?
Thanks

Re: Babyface MIDI in cable noise

Just solved the problem. I took away Babyface extension cable and the noise is gone! Does it mean the extension cable is broken??

Re: Babyface MIDI in cable noise

Yes, there have been a few defective ones. Please ask the retailer or local distributor for a new one.
