Topic: Sonnet and RME espressCard/34

Hello all.
I am trying to decide which Sonnet Thunderbolt adapter to buy for my RME EspressCard/34-Digiface combo that I will be using with a brand new Mac mini.
Sonnet offers two similar TB adapters, the Echo Espress Card and the Echo Espress Card Pro (PCIe 2.0 compatible).
Has anyone tested the Pro version with the RME espress/34 card succesfully? I called Sonnet and was told the Pro version is backward compatible with earlier PCIe, and should work.
I guess I could just purchase the "non pro" adapter and move on, but if the Pro version works, I would choose it just to be able to use other PCIe 2.0 cards in the future, if needed.

Thank you in advance,

RM
