Global record starting on system boot

Automatically pausing record when RMS of all record armed channels is below x db for y ms duration, continuing record as soon a RMS of all record armed channels is above x db, writing the buffered y ms before this event, too.

Automatically saving on system shutdown

Optional fixed maximum file size, with pointer into this buffer saved/restored upon system shutdown/boot, so that the saved file always contains the last hour (for example) of audio.

This is for automatically recording audio which is sent to the monitors/headphones during a session, no matter what software being used. The last hour (for example) is always recoverable, if you for example just jam without recording in the daw, or practice vocals without recording, or designing sounds and came up with some weird effects and you want to recover what you did.
