Topic: Hewlett Packard ProBook 6560b

Hi,
has anybody an idea about the firewire chipset used on this laptop? ----> Hewlett Packard ProBook 6560b
Or could someone tell me the most recent laptop which still can make run a ff800? (pc)

Your help would be greatly appreciated....I'm in a hurry.

Thank you.

I own a ff800 and an UFX and want to use the ff800 on lappie (ableton)...the ufx remains on powerful tower system (cubase 6.5)...
I want to use my laptop with Ableton live as an instrument and synchronise it to cubase 6.5 (main daw and main pc).
I'll use midi input and adat output of the fff800 to speak with ufx....

Rewire is rubbish with live as ableton fx do not output any sound in slave....pitty. A real pain. They should be DeadHorse for that....

Hi Alfred,
Most likely the on board firewire 400 chip will be one that will not work well for audio.
There is an express slot on this model so you can use a PCI express card with a compatible firewire chip to bypass the on board.
Whether or not it will work for audio beyond that who knows.
Thanks Chris
