Hi guys,

I recently purchased the RME BabyFace (Silver) and connected it to my EV RE-20 Microphone with a Audio-Technica premium XLR cable. I use Camtasia Studio 8 Recorder to record YouTube videos. What's discouraging is I can't get a loud sound out of the Mic even at gain 60db. I sit as close as possible to the mic and pushing the Babyface to the limit but the sound is still quiet. I thought maybe it was because Re20 is quiet and needs a booster. But my A&H mixer has no problem producing loud and clean sound with only 52db.

I am a beginner to this and maybe I am not getting the setting right for RME Babyface. Any suggestions on how I can get louder audio recordings with this product? Maybe there are settings in the mixer software that could help? Any ideas are appreciated.
