Topic: Noise problems with the grounding
Hello again. I'm using 2x HDSP Multiface II with a 16channel soundcraft mixing console. I'm having some noise on each of the channels which is pretty inaudible when you listen to only one channel at once, but it gets rather nasty when I mix down 11channels together. I'll try to describe my signal chain:
console's preamp -> taken out through insert point on console via Y-type wire (send, return, ground) -> neutrik NYS-SPP-L1 patchbay(every single section is grounded) -> MF's analog input -> VST host(steinberg nuendo) -> MF's analog output -> patchbay(every single section is grounded) -> returned to the console via Y-type wire -> console main mix.
Noise appears right after the DA converters of the MFs.
The noise I'm talking about is said to be caused by ground loops. I tried connecting every device's housing into a grounding chain using a simple wire in a following order:
console - patchbay - 2xMFaces - my hosting computer - ground
Needless to say that every device in that chain is 100% grounded individually via factory-implemented grounding solutions.
The problem still persists.
I'm sorry for my worst english.
