Topic: Expansion for Babyface?

Hi there,

First post - here goes.

I love my babyface - rock solid, sounds great. I'm looking to expand its capabilities.

1) I'd love to be able to do an in ears rig for my live band with perhaps 6-8 sends or so and send the channels to the FOH.

2) I want to be able to record 10 Channels or so in a live multitrack setting

What are my pros and cons between getting the Micstasy and the Octamic II? Or would it be better to upgrade to a Fireface of some description and get a different ADAT system?

Thanks

Re: Expansion for Babyface?

as part of my mobile setup i use a laptop, a babyface with a focusrite octapre LE
this gives me 10 ins & 12 outs

ins - 2 x built in mic pres on babyface & 8 preamp or line ins on octapreLE
outs 2 x analogue out (XLR) & headphone out on babyface & 8 TRS outs on octapreLE

**I also own the Standard Octapre which i use in my main hdsp9652 rack system...which doesn't have outputs, only the LE does this.
there are other cheap solutions such as the behringer ada8000 which would give you 8 i/o over adat.
Obviously if you want better quality & have the money to spend then get the OctamicII
