Topic: Totalmix and the graphics card

Using a tool which tells me which graphics card is currently in use [1] I've figured out why the battery life is substantially shorter when I have Totalmix open. When launching Totalmix the system is using the more powerful (and -hungry) discrete cart over the integrated one. Is there really the need for it?

You can use the same tool to force the internal GPU to be used and check yourself if the performance is good enough for your use.

True, I checked it and it seems to my eye that the level meters are a tiny bit slower in their refresh rate. If so it is hardly perceptible.
