Topic: Fireface 400 High output gain problem.

Hello guys i am the owner of a fireface 400. i seted up the soundcatds analog line out -10 db and my monitors to -10 db aswell but the speakers volume is stil to high for my tastes. is there any other way to turn down the volume ssafe (without any chances of the volume going to high and damaging my speakers? with my curent setings i work at analog 1&2 analog master out faders at -15 and it is wy to low. do you think my soundcard is broken and it is giving very high gains?

You have to set your speakers to +4 or even higher to reduce the volume. If that doesn't help a passive attenuator between FF 400 and speakers will do.
