Topic: Getting 16 adat out from total mix in babyface

Sorry for this noob question but i get to do some mix and i need 16 adat outs from the totalmix, so i need another BF to get the total of 16 outs? Then i want to plug them to a 16 channel interface via adat to get the analog out then to a suming box for my final LR out? , is there another way to get this using a laptop? If i use a pc it can be possible with the adat pcie cards but is that my solution if a work on laptop??

This is not possible with two Babyfaces, as you need to sync them via ADAT, so you loose one ADAT output.

Thanks MC so in that case you recommend me to change the BF for another interface with 2 adat outs port right?

If the interface you want to use also has adat out, it is possible with the babyfaces. You can sync the interface to babyface 1 and babyface to to the interface.

Vinark you are saying it is possible but with 2 babyface right? yes the other interface has adat out

It would be nice if RME could confirm, but it should be possible to run one baby as master, slave the interface to it and slave the second baby to the interface adat out. If the interface (what is it anyway???) has 2 adat outs it can even function as master with the baby´s as slaves.
