I just wanted to know if there is any reason not to use the instrument/line inputs of the fireface uc for an dynamic mic (via XLR to TRS adapter)? I know, 18 dB isn't that much of gain but I expect high levels...
While the Instr. Switch in TotalMix give me with my current test-mic an 8 dB gain boost I am not sure if I should consider any disadvantages with this scenario.
