Topic: UCX FX into Ableton

Hi! I'm a new user of the forum, though been using RME for a couple of years now, so forgive me if I'm posting something that's already solved elsewhere (I did have a look around first ;-) ).

I'm using a UCX, putting an electric violin into it then putting it into Ableton Live on a Mac.

I'd love to be able to use the hardware FX to put a little EQ onto the violin before it goes into Live, but I can't seem to get it to work; all I get in Live is the 'naked' violin sound, with only gain and phase producing any noticeable effect when I listen.

Of course I can do this EQ in Live itself (have done for a while) but every CPU % is gold, so if I could do this at hardware level I'd be happy fiddler.

Is this possible, to add hardware FX to an analogue signal into software?

Thanks in advance.

Ian

Re: UCX FX into Ableton

Open Fireface settings, and check "EQ+D for record".
