Topic: FF 800 Signal Led always on + no signal

Hello,

I was doing some synth overdubs for a client earlier today, using the input 1 of my fireface 800 with a reasonable input level
when the sound dropped suddenly and the input led is stuck on even after I unplugged the jack.
It tried restarting the unit, but the led came back on.
Drive, Limiter and Speaker simulation are responsive but there's no signal going through the input 1
even if I put a jack in and play (which means it's probably more serious than just a display problem)

All other preamps seem to be working fine

Any Idea of what this could be?? Kind of freaking out here!



another unrelated problem that I've only noticed today is that
the phone output only delivers a mono signal on the left side, nothing on the right (checked the headphones and the adapter, nothing there)
I never use the phone output, that's why i've only noticed it today

Sounds like a defect unit. Does it make a difference whether you are using standalone mode or not (aka unplugging the Firewire connection)?

Is Input 1 set to "Front" or "Rear" in the Fireface Settings app?

As for the mono Phones out, please try resetting the FF Mixer (Ctrl + Preset 1 button), and check with a different pair of headphones.
