Topic: How do I record my synths and drum machines on the babyface?

Hello, I just bought the Babyface the other day. I'm a bit puzzled because I've seen the Line in from the device are all XLR, while the outputs from my hardware is mostly 1/4". Is there any problem if I wire from 1/4" to the XLR from the babyface? I'm pretty noob at this stuff but I've been told is not normal practice to do that and I could harm the audio interface.

Thanks.

No harm if you just use suitable adapter cables. Any gear outlet or cable supplier will help you..

Hello Daniel.

Is there any difference if I use an adapter like you are telling me,

to using a cable like this?

I'am going to degrade the audio taking any of those routes?

Thanks.

Ok, thanks for clearing that for me Daniel. I can tell you I'm going to sleep better tonight tongue I just bought both, adapter (from neutrik brand) and cables, just in case. Will try that.

Thanks again.
