Topic: Revox to FF400

A friend asked me to record his old concerts (70s) from various coils of the Revox.

I have already done this work exactly ten years ago when I had a PC with a Soundblaster Live 5.1: I added an RCA<>Mini Jack cable directly into the Line-in and I recorded everything with Cool Edit.

Now that I have a Mac and Fireface 400 I assume that the situation is much improved. I have a wide range of programs to use: Audacity, Adobe Audition, Soundtrack Pro, etc.. The only question is: where should I put the jack, inst / line 3 & 4? Or where? Any other tips? Programs? Mode?

Thank you. :-)

Re: Revox to FF400

It doesn't matter much. Inputs 3/4 are very flexible with all the gain stage and adjust features, so maybe they are indeed the best ones.
