Topic: HDSP PCI Firmware Versions?

Hi, I see there are different driver and PCI Card firmware versions for Win2K and Visa use.

a) Do I need to update a old HDSP PCI Card's firmware that's been used under Win2K for many years to use it with the newer Vista Driver?

b) If yes, do I need to downgrade the firmware to use that same PCI Card back in the Win2K machine with the Win2K driver?

Yes, I know Win2K is prehistoric, but that machine has a working Gigasampler install that's impossible to recreate or update (along with a large library etc), so I need to keep it alive as long as possible.

Thanks...

a) Yes.

b) newer firmwares are backwards compatible, so it should not be necessary.
