Topic: Fireface and HDSPe express ?

Can I run a fireface uc/400 whatever off just the HDSPe express card with no external power supply ? I have an HP elitebook 2760p tablet,

The HDSPe card is not a Firewire card and no Firewface can be connected to it.

So if I wanted to connect an 8 channel min RME interface to a computer (with no firewire onle pcexpresss and usb) without external power supply - is there any way ?

Sorry, no. Only the Babyface can be used with bus power on USB, and it has 2 analog in / 2 analog out + Phones & ADAT. Any other interface will require mains power or a battery pack.
