Topic: HDSP 9652 not detected in Windows 7

I think my problem is the same as this: http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=14682

but installing 32-bit version of Windows is just not an option for me... I have this I7 proc so it would be stupid to run 32-bit windows. Is there any fix for that? I see that topic is one year old.

What bothers me the most is that here...

...it says that this driver is for 32/64 bit... so what's going on here guys?

Re: HDSP 9652 not detected in Windows 7

What is the model printed on the card? HDSP 9652 is fine for a 64 bit OS, the old DIGI 96/36/52 is not compatible.

I'm afraid it's the "DIGI" one... it says: RME DIGI9636/52

so this means I'm stuck here? how can I fix this???

Re: HDSP 9652 not detected in Windows 7

Sorry, it's just not compatible with a 64 bit OS, you will need a new card for the new computer. Anyway, this old card does not have the same low latency performance you can get with a HDSP card.

It is not stupid to install win7 32 on an i7 at all. Only if you need the extra ram a 64 bit system offers there is an advantage.
