Topic: MULTIFACE II I/O BOX very HOT temperature

Hello, I would like to know what is the optimal temperature for an active multiface II. My I/O Box is freely positioned, raised both above and below and powered via the original power supply. Unfortunately, even after a short usage the BOX temperatures is very hot, so hot to burn almost to the contact. It's normal all this? It could be a power supply problem? There is difference in temperature fueling the card directly through the PCI interface?

Thank you.

My MF1 is hot like hell now at summer, I asked already here somewhere about temperature for my MF1, and someone said it's okay that I don't have to worry about that.

Take a look at this thread: http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=14952

Having done the washer trick, my MF's are never hot and I've never had a problem with either. Fingers crossed!

PC1 = HDSPe PCIe: DF-ADI-8 DS / HDSPe PCIe: MF2
MBP = HDSPe Expresscard: MF1
