Topic: Using 9632 digital ins for external A/D conversion

Please pardon my ignorance, but are the digital inputs on the 9632 for ADAT only?
If I was going to use a piece of outboard gear for A/D conversion, what would be the best way for me to connect it to my 9632?

Thanks!

You can use ADAT with up to 8 channels, or SPDIF coaxial and optical with 2 channels, or AES/EBU with 2 channels.

And congratulations, you wrote the first post in the new forum!

Cool!

Ok... so I can just run an optical cable into the back, no sweat? Any digital signal? Or does it have to be a specific type...
Again, pardon my ignorance please

ADAT or SPDIF, it depends on your converter...
