Topic: Multiface II issues with HDSPe ExpressCard & ADK 9000X issues

Hi, I am having issues with my Multiface II sound card.
I'm trying to install my Multiface II with an HDSPe ExpressCard on my ADK 9000X Win7 x64 Ultimate and it will not work.  I am using the 3.3.7 drivers & the HDSP PCIe FUT v 2.32.

It seems to be installed, but when trying to use ASIO RME Hammerfall II as a sound card in my DAW, the system chokes & windows becomes unresponsive. I lose control of my mouse & nothing seems to work.

I have checked the Device Manager and I don't get any warning symbol for a unrecognized device. It states that the RME Hammerfall DSP device is working properly.

Are there any known issues with the ADK 9000X or similar laptops and the HDSPe? Or is there something else I could try?

Trying to avoid going the new RME  UFX/UCX USB route. ( Can not afford it atm )

The Multiface II is working fine on my desktop with the RME HDSPe PCI Express Card.

Thank you, S

Have you asked ADK yet? They would be more familiar with any possible issues of the laptop they sell.

Yes, I am working through with ADK support. No luck so far, but have a support ticket & will continue to work through with them.

I posted here to see if anything would pop up that might help.

I have tried using the Hammerfall ASIO audio on both Live 9 & Reaper, but system freezes up and I have to shut the system down manually.

I bought this particular ADK notebook knowing that it would work with the RME Expresscard & Muliface II.

The serial number of the RME Expresscard is 22900673.

I did read on a post in this forum that turning Off the Power Management for PCIexpress in BIOS may help, ( it was on a Thinkpad X230  ) but I can not find a similar option on the ADK BIOS.

Thanks.
