Topic: Integrate MacBook Pro into digiface setup

Hi,

I will soon get my first Mac, a MacBook Pro 15-inch haswell.
I can't find sufficient info about its native digital audio I/O capabilities.
It has optical spdif out, right? Available via an optical 3.5mm toslink plug.
Does it provide spdif in, too? If so, how?

I prefer to hook the Mac up into my digital audio setup, consisting of two pcs synced via a hdsp digiface on each, both synced via wordclock, with one of the hdsps synced via spdif of the an/di pro mic preamp.

Can I use the spdif coax I/O on the second hdsp to sync the Mac to? I'd need a coax/optical converter then, right?
Or can I use a adat port switched to spdif, to have optical I/O to connect the Mac to without a converter?
How do I send spdif to the Mac and receive spdif from Mac simultaneously? Is this even possible?

Or is there a simple USB/spdif I/O soundcard for Mac, that I could use? I just need spdif in and spdif out duplex on Mac...

Sorry for these questions, I'm inexperienced concerning macs...

Thanks
