I am using my system for scientific experiments not music. I want as much accuracy as possible.

I have a raydat with the older style totalmix with midi control.

I have tried to send midi from nuendo to totalmix (out of the raydat midi port and back in to totalmix)  to test for latency and latency consistency and it is variable, of course.   ( I have tried a virtual midi patch cord with even less accuracy)

I am wondering if the newer totalmix fx with OSC is any more accurate?  If i should upgrade to a newer RME system perhaps? Does the newer totalmix fx except time stamps on the osc messages?
