Would this setup work properly with a MADIface XT and a Macbook Pro with Thunderbolt?

MADIFace XT
   > PCI-Ex Output
      > Molex PCI-Ex cable

Actually, my customer needs some way to connect his MADIFace XT to a Thunderbolt equipped Macbook Pro.

The way I'm seeing it, this Matrox thunderbolt adapter would be a relatively cheap option, although it seems to be virtually impossible to find in Europe (spent the last half hour looking for an online store in Europe that's stocking this item, but no luck).

Can anybody suggest the next best adapter from PCI-Ex to Thunderbolt so this connection can be made?

When you say "this stuff is not for musicians", do you mean this accessory will not work in the suggested configuration (MADIFace XT > Molex cable > Matrox Thunderbolt adapter > Macbook Pro) ?

Any alternative for anyone with a MADIFace XT that wants to connect it to a Macbook Pro via Thunderbolt?

No, he's just saying that it is aimed primarily at a professional video market and is therefore usually not stocked in music or consumer gear outlets.

I have seen in a couple of posts that the recommended PCI -Ex to thunderbolt adapter is the Matrox one mentioned by MC:

Has anybody tried the Matrox MX02 Dock?:

This would seem to do the same job but offer a few extras at only a slight extra cost.
Hoping it will work for Madiface XT to Thunderbolt Mac.

Any thoughts?
