Topic: TMFX Routing Question

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to route an outgoing signal (Software-Playback) of software 1 (Browser) as an incoming signal in software 2 (DAW), without leaving the computer?
It would be nice to route the signal inside TMFX. Thus, an unnecessary DA-/ AD-conversion can be saved.

Best regards,
Hellway

Re: TMFX Routing Question

Yeah, just search the manual or this forum for "loopback".

Re: TMFX Routing Question

all you do is highlight one of the hardware outputs on row 3 of totalmix (best to select one you arent using).. So for example ADAT1/2 might not be getting used..  You press Loopback button on ADAT 1/2 and while that channel is selected you raise your software playback fader (row 2) that has the audio coming from the browser.. Set software playback fader to 0.0 level..  now your browsers audio is getting routed to ADAT 1/2 output and you have selected loopback on that output so now when you go into your DAW choose ADAT 1/2 as the source input for your recording track it will recieve the audio from the browser..
