Topic: Converting Soundcrafts Mini Stagebox AES/EBU Outputs to analog

Hey RME-Family,

I am thinking about buying an Soundcraft Mini Stagebox MADI. It has 8 analog Outputs and 8 digital Outputs which are AES/EBU.
For applications where I need 16 analog Outputs, would you think, it would work to convert the AES/EBU Outputs to analog with ADI-8 DS MK lll?
Clock would extract from AES/EBU, right?
Does latency would be a problem between true analog Outputs and analog Outputs converted from AES/EBU?
Would you matter sound differenties between these both?

Hi,

I've done it with Compact stagebox and ADI-8 qs. No problems with latency as "true" analog outputs have DA-converter too.
