Topic: Madiface USB and Fireface 800 as Aggregate Device

Has anybody tried a Madiface USB and Fireface 800 together as an aggregate device in Mac OSX Mavericks?
In theory I assume this should be fine, however I was wondering about any sync issues.
As there is no way to directly connect any sync between the two units I assume that you would have to ensure that both devices are fed with synchronous sources and are both set to slave: for example a Madi stream and an AES signal both clocked from the same master clock.

Any thoughts?

That is correct. AFAIR there is a setting to even use it unsynchronized, but that would require Core Audio to continously sample rate convert the data, which is not desirable for various reasons.
