Topic: Lacking Play and Record Buttons in Totalmix

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum, just bought a UFX after having a FF800 for the last 7 years.
Now to my question.  I don't have a play or record button at the bottom right of totalmix.  I am using a Macbook pro connected thru USB.  Is this normal?  I don't now how to upload and image otherwise I would.

Connect a USB stick to the UFX.

Thanks for replying so quickly.  I have done so.  I bought a Scandisk extreme following suggestions found here and have successfully recorded some tracks using the built in screen.  On my laptop screen at the bottom where its says DUREcorder it shows the files that are on the usb stick and I can select them but there is no transport bar.  I as if the mixer window wasn't long enough.  I can drag it and make it wider but now longer.  It is showing all rows.

My mistake.  I have found the problem.  I just had to close other things for the transport bar to show.  Silly me.
