Topic: Multiface 1 +PCMCIA -PCI adaptor : Ricoh chipset vs Texes Ins. Chipset

Hey there this is my first post in here so i hope i hit the right place.

I just got my hands on a multiface 1 with the pcmcia connector, working fine on my Lenovo Thinkpad t500 (had minor issues had to disable the internal soundcard)

So i decided to get a PCMCIA adaptor (Ricoh Chipset) the real studio machine (i5, Intel etc etc etc)

i got the adaptor and went on with the process flashed the pcmcia card no problems and got sound playing in Vlc, mediaplayer and so on.

So i headed for my daw (Presonus Studio One 2.6) loaded up last project that i had open a couple of vsti some audio tracks and little fx with automation, not much.

I looked at the mixer and noticed i had spikes random in all the channels going to overload in split seconds and then off... no sound in the spikes, music plays fine for 5-10 min then my computer just freezed.. messed around uninstalling, install, disabled internal soundcard uninstalled all that might could give some and so on ... still the same problem.

So i looked the net tested with asio4all same problem, tested with windows audio and there i got some different behavior no spikes in the mixer and track was playing smoothly but with huge latency.. so i got to the conclusion that its the asio driver that crashes HMM.

So i started my search and got to the conclusion the Ricoh chipsets its not the best friends with RME.

Anyone who can tell me if i should go for Texas Ins. Chipset adaptor?!
