Topic: Route audio out then back in

Sometimes I route audio out of my ucx, then route it back in, without mixing the audio with anything external.  Is it possible to do this without actually running cable out then back in, by routing through totalmix?

However I want to maintain the latency as if I did route physically with cables.  Any advice?

i think you should try the loopback feature - there is a thread here - you don´t need cables for that

Just curious...Why do you do this?

Re: Route audio out then back in

Thank you for responding.

I do this in the following situation:

I have a stereo drum track I want to route to an outboard compressor.  I want to mix the compressed drum mix with other tracks in my DAW, and send them all to the same multiband compressor in my DAW.

Rather than futz around to compensate for the latency, I prefer to just give all tracks the same latency.

Perhaps there is an easier way.
