Topic: Adjusting 'value' in Audio MIDI setup, MAC OS X
Hi!
I'm running an RME Babyface (ver 1.95) on a MBP with OSX 10.6.8, and I'm experiencing an 'issue'.
I don't know if this is normal behaviour, but when I put output level on my computer to maximum, the babyface is clipping. When i open and investigate in the AudioMIDI setup, i notice that the output level of Babyface is set to a value of 1.00 with an output level of 6dB. Changing this is temporary. Is there a way to make it so that a value of 1.00 is equal to 0dB?
For now, I'm forced to lower the AN1/2 channel to -6dB in TotalMix (ver 0.999) in order to compensate for the clipping.
Is there a way to change the value in TotalMix, so that the top of the gauge is 0dB instead of +6dB? Or is there something I'm missing?
oh, and when i switch over to CC mode, this problem disappears (ie, max output on MBP --> 0db in Babyface)
