Topic: How to monitor with Madiface USB? Hook up an UFX?

Got a Madiface USB and successfully hook up with my PC notebook running with Win 7.
But I cannot find a way to monitor with PC headphone output, even the headphone output was default as the "Playback" device.
Could I hook up an UFX and use the headphone output to monitor Madiface USB input?
Thanks!

The UFX does not have a MADI input. And neither will the Madiface communicate with your PC's phones output. You will need a DA converter, mixing desk, or other device with MADI inputs to monitor signal.
May I ask why you specifically purchased this device, as you don' seem to have other MADI gear?

Re: How to monitor with Madiface USB? Hook up an UFX?

I got Madi feed from house PA system for OB post multitrack recording. If I can monitor without bringing a "small" mixer such as Soundcraft Performer, it will be more than ideal.
I can certainly feed Madiface USB with optical Madi card in Soundcraft Performer. But can I just go to the site with a backpack?
Seems Madiface XT is the way to go?
