Topic: MADIface USB performance

I just purchase a MADIface USB, connected to a Mac book Pro 2011 i7 16 gigs of RAM.
Madi connected to a Orion 32, and I'm using ProTools HD 11.2.1
Would I gain any performance benefit by connecting the MADIface USB to a external PCI E card, that has USB 3 ports, (yes I know its only USB 2 ) in a thunderbolt chassis?
Right now the MADI face is working connected directly to the Mac, but I'm mixing some large session, and the CPU load is a little hi, I have a Apollo Quad with TB card, and it is more CPU friendly, but the MADIface, allows me to use more I/O for all my analog gear etc.
FYI I have the playback set to 1024 buffer for mixing
Thanks
Tommy

Re: MADIface USB performance

At the end you are going through more circuits. I assume it will be an advantage to use the USB ports that are directly connected to chipset ... not sure about apples design/layout though ...

Good point,I wanted a RME PCIe card, but they where out of my budget, and I only need 64 I/O.
I already own the Magma chassis,so it would have been nice.
Well, I'll see if there is more optimization I can some how squeeze out my setup to help the USB,PTHD 11
FYI I'm using firmware v19, and driver v1.95    -    Mac OS 10.8.5
