Topic: EQ Tips for getting a radio like sound from RE20 Mic

I've been trying to recreate a radio rich tone to my voice recordings using the EQ settings in Totalmix but can't quite get it right after hours of tinkering, does anyone have any settings they recommend? of course it depends on the Microphone but I've heard RE20's sound so much better in various recordings people have done, I'm not sure why mine isn't as rich going through a Babyface.

I've looked around for some screenshots of eq settings which are good for certain things, but have found nothing.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Hi,
It's not only the eq, at first the room (dry), distance to the mic (nearby) and a lot of good compression and fewer eqing. But most important: the voice!
It's hard to eq a squeaky voice to a commercial sounding one.

Did you speak very close to your mic? Try it, you get more bottom by the Proximity effect.
What about acoustic treatment in your recording environment?
