I know a few of you are using similar set ups, and I'm hoping you might offer some advice.

I am using the SSL Alphalink into the HDSEe and have used all the analogue outputs on the Alphalink, but still have 2 AES DSUB 25s left to route i/o signal. Basically 16 channels of audio of i/o are still available through AES on the Alphalink.

I would like to add 16 channels of mic pres through the inputs, while also using 4- 8 channels on one of the outputs of the AES dsubs to simuntanenously send mixes to a separate headphone amp. I realize I would need to add another da/ad  to the set up and am looking at the RME pieces.

Is there a 8 channel ad/da with AES that has 8 mic preamps that would allow this - my understanding is there is no d/a outs on the octamic 2 and it would not send separate outs - is this correct? But I am not exactly sure about the Micstacy's outputs. Is there a RME product that is a ad/da with 8 channels of preamp also? Or maybe another piece of gear that would work ... any suggestions?
