NEW Pro Tools 9!
http://www.heirapparent.com/totalmix.htm
Pro Tools has some unique fader and meter level markings compared to what I'm most familiar with in Nuendo/Cubase. Everything has been recalibrated with test tones for pixel-level accuracy to correspond with the PT mixer.
The fader marks are at -60, -40,-30, -20, -15, -10, -5, 0, +6.
The level meters are at -60, -32, -22, -16, -10, -6, -3, 0.
Visually, the meters don't transition from green to yellow to orange like those in PT due to the differences in their respective sweep, but they will match in the sense that when a signal level just hits yellow at -12db in PT, it will be hitting the yellow at -12db in TotalMix as well, etc.
My first draft of the PT design matched the stock fader slots and meter width as well. But, with the narrow spacing of TotalMix, the overall design was just too crowded and busy. So, I removed the shadow/facets in the fader slot and narrowed the level meter for a cleaner look...
The output mixer fader and level meter mark calibrations are also unique for the HDSP versions that top out at 0 db, as compared to the HDSPe versions that top out at +6. All adjustments have been made.
Hopefully a Mac user reading in will volunteer to convert the skin for OSX...
Best regards,
Terry Gorle
