Hi terry.
I just paid for one of your skins but I have not received it yet?
Is there something going on?

I've just returned from a 9 day vacation... check your email.

If enough people buy these by next year, I might be able to afford a laptop with wireless service when I'm camping... ;-)

Thanks,
Terry

That would be a driver bug, not a bitmap problem. Which version are you talking about?

Hi MC,

I just reinstalled the 2.62a software for my FF800 on Leopard 10.5.8 and the original TM GUI is only showing preset 2 all round! Never noticed this before! Any other Mac users with FF800 seeing this? Would be nice to see this fixed!

Cheers.

Re: Archive: The official New GUI for Total Mix thread (not TotalMix FX)

Hello,

I did a totalmix-skin too.

This skin has numbers for the 60 db-setting in the peakmeters. This I positioned in troublesome and particular work with testtones. The positions are exactly in the middle of the numbers. The image files for the 40 db-setting are coming soon. This will be 8 files wich need to be exchanged.

Although I ranged everything pixel by pixel I think the scales rather are a landmark and I think they work very well. The only thing I could not test was the indicator for unit 2 and unit 3. If there is any problem (shifting of numbers etc.) you can contact me. I did all pictures just with windows paint so the effects are minimal.

Hi Terry,
I just ordered for a Cubase 5 skin (so you may have perhaps one drink when you're using your laptop, on next holydays ;-)
But I was not asked if it is for Mac or PC.... it's for a Mac Pro (june 2009) that works great with Snow Leopard and FF800 version 2.62 until today,
and now 2.63. thanks to RME !

I'm sorry Edmond, I don't have the Cubase skins converted to Mac .rsrc format yet.
The website only specifies Mac OSX for Nuendo and Logic at this time.

I'm on a different computer right now, but I will send you both of the Nuendo versions for Mac to use until I'm able to get the Cubase skins converted.

GENERAL NOTE:  The first MAC user who can provide proper .rsrc conversions for the SSL, DIGICheck custom, and Cubase skins to both HDSP(e) and Fireface versions will receive a custom skin design to their specifications.  Email me.

Re: Archive: The official New GUI for Total Mix thread (not TotalMix FX)

Just for fun, I added a skin based on some images of the latest RME hardware:

http://www.heirapparent.com/nu3/TotalMix-RME-Blue.gif

I'm also messing around with variations that use the LED's instead of M/S buttons on the mixer channels.
Experienced TotalMix users will know what the dim and lit LED's refer to...
So, I may post an update to this design in the near future.

Re: Archive: The official New GUI for Total Mix thread (not TotalMix FX)

21 designs and counting...

NEW  Pro Tools 9!

http://www.heirapparent.com/totalmix.htm

http://www.heirapparent.com/totalmix/TotalMix-PT9.gif

Pro Tools has some unique fader and meter level markings compared to what I'm most familiar with in Nuendo/Cubase.  Everything has been recalibrated with test tones for pixel-level accuracy to correspond with the PT mixer.
The fader marks are at -60, -40,-30, -20, -15, -10, -5, 0, +6.
The level meters are at -60, -32, -22, -16, -10, -6, -3, 0.

Visually, the meters don't transition from green to yellow to orange like those in PT due to the differences in their respective sweep, but they will match in the sense that when a signal level just hits yellow at -12db in PT, it will be hitting the yellow at -12db in TotalMix as well, etc.

My first draft of the PT design matched the stock fader slots and meter width as well.  But, with the narrow spacing of TotalMix, the overall design was just too crowded and busy.  So, I removed the shadow/facets in the fader slot and narrowed the level meter for a cleaner look...

The output mixer fader and level meter mark calibrations are also unique for the HDSP versions that top out at 0 db, as compared to the HDSPe versions that top out at +6.  All adjustments have been made.

Hopefully a Mac user reading in will volunteer to convert the skin for OSX...

Best regards,
Terry Gorle

Hi everyone! On this page Startup icons for RME, I found interesting icons to replace the old one.
Small changes do not hurt :-) Best regards and thanks to everyone for the skins!
