Topic: TMFX for iPad: Please repeat Current/referred sample rate explanation

Just now I was doing some tests by running my UCX with S/PDIF into another device (Tascam DR-680 and DR-100mkii) just to see if it would work. The short answer: yes it will.

In Totalmix FX (ipad) I was looking at the Preferred Sample Rate and Current Sample Rate settings. I can change the preferred sample rate, but I can't get the current sample rate to follow. As long as I set the other device to whatever the TM FX says in current sample rate it will connect. But if I set the other device and the preferred sample rate to the same thing but different from the current sample rate, it won't.

but am still not quite clear on how to cause the current sample rate to go to wherever I want it to go in combination with an S/PDIF out. I didn't have any other apps running on my ipad.

1. The original (first) iPad does not support setting of the sample rate.
2. Is the background mode enabled?

1. This is an ipad mini 2nd generation (not the most recent ipad mini).
2. Not yet. That is one of the settings I didn't know what it did, but after reading your discussion linked above I found it will be a good idea to enable.
