Topic: Problem connecting XTC and ADI8QS @192 via AES

Hi,

I connected Octamic XTC and ADI8QS via AES (1m AES D-Sub cable by Alva). Octamic is clockmaster, ADI8QS is slave, referring to AES input.
Double speed (88.2kHz and 96kHz) runs fine. AES LEDs light up permanently.
Howver, while running quadspeed (192kHz) the fourth AES LED of the ADI8QS is flashing, and there are spikes in Channel 7.

Any ideas what's going on here?

Thanks a lot,
Ulrich

If that is an older QS then please send it in to Synthax for checking.

Thanks for the answer. Yes, it's not a new one.

Re: Problem connecting XTC and ADI8QS @192 via AES

Just found out: ONLY with clocking via word clock AND option "WCK Alw. Singl" activated (at XTC) all AES LEDs at the QS light up permanently @192kHz.
Does this mean that clocking via wordclock is somehow "safer" in general with my devices?

No. Please send it in to Synthax.
