Topic: Low Win7 Kernel Latency tweaking, Supermicro X10Sri-F, Win7, RME UFX

Hi,

here an interesting forum article how you can tweak the Supermicro BIOS for the serverboard X10Sri-F.
This server board can be used for creating a very performant audio Workstation.

http://www.tonstudio-forum.de/blog/inde … -X10SRi-F/

It contanis a few tips how to setup the BIOS and how you can still manage a little powersaving by energy profiles (including control over CPU core parking and CPU clock) and what windows sidebar gadgets you can use for a nice comfortably handling.

The article is written in german, but the screenshots speak for themselves.

You find there also the links to the tools...

This is a good basement for a very responsive system for recording with your RME devices.

You find there snapshots of the latency values shown by Cubase 8.0.20 Pro as well by connecting the UFX via USB and via Firewire. Quite close.
