Topic: Recommendation for Firewire Expresscard?

Hi,

I consider to purchase a FW card for Expresscard slot of Lenovo T540, for Fireface 400.

Any recommendations (has to be available in Germany)?

Best is usually to look for cards with TI FW chip inside. But avoid TI cards with the XIO2200A chip, its causing issues.
But I see most of the Expresscards is this chip for Firewire 400.

I am not 100% sure, as I dont know Firewire 800 to 400 compatibility, but maybe an option could be to buy this Firewire 800 card with TI chipset and then use a Firewire 800 to 400 cable. This was the 1st one I found in the presonus document, which has at least a TI XIO2213B chipset inside. I am running out of time, look through the list ...
