Topic: TotalmixFX trouble seeing Aggregate device on Mac 10.8.5/raydat

am not able to have TotalmixFX see my Aggregate of Raydat ADAT and motu 896mk3firewire

Totalmix is only registering the 16 channels from the raydat (when running @ 96/24) and does not see the additional 8 channels that should be present from the motu firewire.

I also tried a different aggregate combo of the raydat and an Apogee duet. Again, totalmix does not see the additional 2 channels from the duet.

Does totamix work with aggregate devices in the mac world?
what am I missing?

TotalMix is a remote for the mixer within the RME hardware. There is no way it will ever detect or handle other devices.

appreciate the quick response

I am looking to get 3 stereo headphone mixes  running @96/24 through the Raydat (mac 10.8.5), with 12 channels of mic,
if I understand correctly, using totalmix I should be able to derive 2 stereo mixes from the 4th pair of ADAT optical connectors (CH 13/14, & CH 15/16, and, the third mix via the Spdif out rca connector from the Raydat card. yes?
